Colorado Wilderness Emergency Medicine Institute (C.W.E.M.I.) is a division of Hospitality Safety Consultants, Inc. As a leader in Wilderness Medicine, C.W.E.M.I. is dedicated to advancing wilderness medicine throughout Colorado.

Through our affiliation with the University of Colorado Emergency Medicine Department we strive to bring the latest technology and scientific advances to wilderness medicine. As part of our committment to quality wilderness medicine, our training center director sits on the Wilderness Medicine Advisory Committee at the University of Denver Anschutz Medical Center and is a candidate for Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.

C.W.E.M.I. provides public and private classes throughout Colorado. If your group would like to set up a class on location for your members we will work with you to establish a schedule to meet the needs of your group or business. From Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Wilderness EMT Upgrade and Wilderness First Responder (WFR), we can provide the appropriate level of training for you.

As a leader in wilderness medicine, C.W.E.M.I. contracts with some of the top instructors in the field to provide comprehensive, quality and affordable education in a fun learning environment.

Colorado Wilderness Emergency Medicine Institute (C.W.E.M.I.) is proud to be members of the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) www.wms.org and the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) www.nasar.org. Our training center director originally started teaching first-aid and CPR classes in 1988, became certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in 1991, is a certified instructor trainer, and a candidate for Fellowship with the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.

If you spend time in the wilderness or in remote locations where access to a hospital is greater than 60 minutes then C.W.E.M.I. has a program to meet your needs. Contact us about scheduling a class for your troup leaders, trip leaders, guides or employees. We will work with you to schedule classes when you need them and promise to provide you with the lowest cost solution. We will meet or beat any competitors advertised prices for similar courses.

We have regularly scheduled Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Wilderness First Responder (WFR), and Wilderness EMT Upgrade classes scheduled throughout Colorado. From Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, Estes Park, Glenwood Springs, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and a lot of places in between Colorado Wilderness Emergency Medicine Institute promises to provide low cost and readily accessible classes to meet your needs.

We can also schedule on location training at your business or group.

C.W.E.M.I. has taken the traditional Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course and enhanced it to follow the N.H.T.S.A. guidelines for the national Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) curriculum.

The Wilderness EMT is an upgrade for currently licensed EMT's.

The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course complies with the guidelines of the American Camping Association, Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of America.
